Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions importers, distributors, wholesalers and retailers ask most about ordering branded FMCG from CX Trading.
Ordering
Who can order from CX Trading?
CX Trading supplies business customers only: importers, distributors, wholesalers, cash-and-carry operators, retailers and other trade buyers. We may ask for your company registration and VAT details before the first order. We do not sell to private consumers.
Which wholesale products do you supply?
We supply branded FMCG in seven categories: baby products; beer, wine and spirits; beverages; cleaning and household; coffee and tea; food and confectionery; and personal care. Brands include Coca-Cola, Red Bull, Heineken, Nescafé, Ferrero, Nutella, Pampers, Ariel, Dove and Nivea. If a product you need is not listed, ask us and we will check availability.
Can I order a mixed pallet containing different products?
Yes. With our mixed pallet service you can combine several products, brands and categories on one pallet, for example soft drinks, confectionery, coffee and household products in a single shipment.
What is your minimum order quantity?
The minimum order depends on the product and the destination. Many customers start with a mixed pallet; single products are usually supplied by the full case or pallet. Send us your product list and we will advise on the most efficient order size.
What information should I include in my enquiry?
Include the products and pack sizes you need, approximate quantities, the delivery country or port, any label language or origin requirements, your preferred delivery terms and your company details. The more complete your enquiry, the faster we can prepare an accurate quotation.
Products
Are products supplied in original packaging?
Yes. All products are supplied in their original manufacturer packaging.
Do you supply baby-care and personal-care products?
Yes. Our range includes baby milk powders, cereals, diapers and baby toiletries, and personal care such as soap, deodorants, hair care, oral care, skincare and shaving. Some health care products are supplied only to appropriately licensed customers.
Can you provide product barcodes and packing information?
Yes. On request we share product details such as EAN barcodes, units per case, cases per pallet, dimensions and weights, where this information is available for the product.
How do I check the shelf life of a product?
Best-before dates are confirmed with your quotation or before shipment. If your market requires a minimum remaining shelf life, include it in your enquiry and we will only offer stock that meets it.
Can I request a specific country of origin or label language?
Often, yes. Many products are available in different production origins and label languages. Tell us your requirements and we will confirm what is available.
Shipping and export
Do you supply full truckloads and container loads?
Yes. Besides single and mixed pallets, we supply full truckloads within Europe and full 20ft and 40ft container loads for export.
Can I combine different brands in one container?
Yes. Mixed containers with several brands and categories are common, subject to availability and the import rules of your destination country.
Do you deliver throughout Europe and the UK?
Yes. We arrange road transport for single pallets, groupage shipments and full truckloads to customers throughout Europe, including the United Kingdom. You can also arrange collection with your own transport.
Do you export outside Europe?
Yes. We supply businesses worldwide and export by sea container from the port of Rotterdam to Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas.
Which export documents can you provide?
Every export shipment comes with a commercial invoice and packing list. Certificates of origin can be arranged, and we coordinate other documents your market may require, such as health or free-sale certificates, where these are available for the product.
Do you handle customs clearance in the destination country?
We arrange export clearance in the Netherlands together with licensed customs partners. Import clearance in the destination country is normally handled by the buyer or their agent, depending on the agreed delivery terms. We provide the documents they need.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery time depends on product availability, the order size and the destination. Road deliveries within Europe usually arrive within a few working days of dispatch, while sea freight transit times depend on the destination port. We confirm an estimated timeline with every quotation.
Pricing and payment
How are wholesale prices calculated?
Prices depend on the product, order volume, pack size and label version, current market availability and the agreed delivery terms. Because FMCG prices change frequently, every quotation is tailored to your order and valid for a limited period.
Which payment terms do you accept?
Payment terms are agreed with each customer and confirmed in the quotation or pro forma invoice. Contact us to discuss the terms that suit your order.
Still have a question?
